The Exhaust Ventilator part # PLR23 is designed to be mounted outside of an enclosed trailer's roof but you can install it on the outside of the metal shed without any issues. You do not need anything else on the other side or to install the vent except a sealant to keep moisture out. I recommend TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160299 because it bonds to metal. It comes with all the hardware, butterfly vent and screen.
You can use the sealant around the vent after installation to create a weather proof barrier.
