Question:

I purchased one of the new style Dodge Ram 1500 in August been waiting to install my fifth wheel hitch from my old dodge ram 1500 year 2013. Took it to my hitch installer said there was no kit to install it on. Would this kit work from you guys? Remember my truck is not a classic its the new model!

I do have a custom 5th wheel install kit available for your fifth generation 2019 Ram 1500 but the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # RP50142 is not a confirmed fit. Instead, you will need to use the Demco Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit part # DM8552032-71 which is currently one of the only available options for you so long as you don't have the factory airbags.

Please note that you do not need to use a Reese install kit in order to install a Reese 5th wheel hitch. The Demco install kit will work just fine for you so long as the Reese 5th wheel hitch you will be using mounts to industry standard above bed base rails which most do.
