Question:
I have a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq and would like to get a trailer hitch for it. Your website you recommendations for it are: • 24963 Draw-Tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver • 11486 Curt Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver On the 11486, I saw your expert comment “the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11486 is a confirmed fit … The Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack # TH9042PRO has a locking knob that will not fit with this application because it is too close to hitch pin hole. “ Since I want to my existing Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack previously on a Prius with 24808 Draw-Tite Class 1 hitch, I’m hoping that the 24963 Draw-Tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver works. Will the Draw-Tite or Curt will work with it on my 2019 Hyundai Ioniq SE? Anything else I should consider?

There are bike racks that will work with either the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24963 or Curt Trailer Hitch # C11486 that fit your 2019 Hyundai Ioniq (non-electric), but the Thule Helium Pro 2 9042PRO very likely will not.
The issue, as noted, is the bumper clearance with this rack. When we installed the Curt hitch on an '18 Ioniq we found it was about 5 inches from the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper; since the Draw-Tite installs the same the bumper clearance required will be similar. The Thule Helium Pro 2 has a locking knob that sits closer than that and will very likely interfere with either hitch.
For a hanging bike rack that will work on the Draw-Tite # 24963 or Curt # C11486 hitch on your '19 Ioniq I strongly recommend the Kuat Beta - Folding 2-Bike Aluminum Rack # B202-114 because it is an easy to use rack that offers excellent support for your bikes.
The Beta weighs just 12.6 lbs, which is why it is so simple to install and remove from your trailer hitch
The Kuat Beta - Folding 2-Bike Aluminum Rack # B202-114 is very light yet it still has a 40 lb per bike weight capacity and comes with a lifetime warranty.
I have added a link to a video review of this rack for you to take a look at.
