Question:
Hi I’ll be getting a dirt bike pretty soon and i don’t have a truck or anything to move it with well at least when I want to. Will this hitch be able to hold a dirt bike or is it too much for it to hold? Is there anyway I could make it to where it could hold a bike by doing a simple modification or is there just another heavier duty hitch?

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24880 that fits a 2016 VW Passat is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver and 200 lb tongue weight capacity, which is the same capacity of every hitch that fits a '16 VW Passat.
The tongue weight is the combined weight that your dirt bike and carrier can be for the hitch to hold them so the bike and carrier would not be able to weigh any more than 200 lbs with this vehicle and there is nothing you could do in terms of modification that would allow the hitch to have an increased capacity.
A Class I hitch will also require a carrier that is compatible and there are no carriers for motorcycles or dirt bikes we carry which are compatible with a 1-1/4" Class I hitch. The only available option would be a standard cargo carrier such as the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 which is Class I compatible. This option would require you to find a way to secure your bike with tie-downs, and I have added links to our selection of ratchet straps or bungees for you to take a look at.
The Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110 weighs roughly 30 lbs and has inside dimensions of 47-11/16" long x 19-1/2" wide which your dirt bike would need to fit. I have added links to video reviews of the hitch and carrier for you to take a look at.
