Question:
Hi, when you say soap and water, is dish-soap adequate? Cordially.

I spoke with my contact at AFE and he said you can use dish soap or hand soap to wash the Takeda Pro Dry S Performance Air Filter, part # AFETF-9006D. He mentioned after washing that you should let the filter air-dry and not use compressed air to dry the filter.
He also recommended a better option to clean the Pro-Dry filter is to use the Restoration Kit for AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter, part # AFETP-7015C. This has a cleaning solution that is sprayed on the filter and rinsed with water to clean the filter. It will also need to be air-dried.
I am including a link to a video review on the AFE filters.
