Reese hitch fifth wheel 2005 16 k Are both springs the same, the one for the handle and the one for the jaws?

I believe you are asking about the Replacement Spring for Reese and Draw-Tite Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches # 30776 which is used with the actuating rod.

This spring is different than the other available replacement springs, the Replacement Head Pivot Spring Kit for Select Plus Fifth Wheel Hitch # 58257 and Replacement Head Pivot Springs for Reese and Draw-Tite Signature or Elite Series 5th Wheel Hitches # 58229.
