Tech Tip: Hitch does not fit models made in Korea. Underbody plastic panels, if present, will need to be removed and may be left off or trimmed and reattached. No drilling required for installation , Access holes may need to be enlarged by drilling, filing, or rotary tool , Exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation , Minor heat shield modification may be required === My window sticker says: US/Canadian parts content 38, Korea:47, Engine USA, Transmission USA. Final Assembly point: Montgomery, Alabama USA. Does the Tech Tip Apply to this vehicle in regards to whether it is made in Korea? Will the 24965 fit my car? One more Question ... about the wiring harness: I will be towing a 4x6foot 250# empty trailer. Then which wiring harness, which one and what are the amperage ratings?. Thanks,

Your specific 2019 Hyundai Sonata is compatible with the Draw Tite hitch part # 24965. Yours is not a Korean made vehicle which this hitch is not compatible with.

For a wiring harness you will want the Curt T-Connector part # C56390 for your vehicle.

The amperage rating for the Curt # C56390harness is:

Stop/turn lights: 6 amps per circuit
Tail lights: 3 amps per circuit

For a ball mount you'd then want the part # 3593 and hitch ball # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or part # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
