Recommended Weight Distribution System for a 2017 Toyota 4Runner and H&H Enclosed Trailer

Question:
I have a 2017 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and a HandH Trailers 7x14 TA enclosed trailer. The 4Runner is rated for towing 5000 pounds. I estimate the trailer will be right around 4500 pounds by the time I load 2 motorcycles and all my gear on occasion. Most of the time there will only be 1 motorcycle and probably 3500 pounds rather than the 4500. I am mostly concerned about sway with the surface area of the trailer and winds but I know that the weight distribution will only improve things. I also dont want to have to unhook things to back up the trailer. The husky 32216 looks like a good fit and the price isnt too bad but you guys are the experts.

The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control part # HT32216 is indeed a good choice for your 2017 Toyota 4Runner and H&H Enclosed Trailer. It has a total tongue weight range of 400 lbs - 600 lbs which your trailer should fall under with either one or two motorcycles on board. In addition to weight distribution the system also has two point sway control which will do a great job of preventing the trailer from swaying back and forth.
Unlike most other systems, the hitch ball comes installed and pre torqued so you don't need to purchase an additional hitch ball and special socket to install it. The system also offers eazy maintenance because only one bolt needs to be lubed on the spring bar which most other systems often require multiple grease points on the spring bars.
In regards to using the system while in reverse, this is allowed so long as you remain in a straight line. If the truck and trailer were reversed at too great of any angle you would run the risk of damaging the spring bars. This will be the case for all weight distribution systems with built-in sway control.
