Troubleshooting DSI Fault Light on Atwood Water Heater GC10A-4E

My hot water heater quit working. I checked the a/c switch, thermostat, eco and thermal switch. This led me to the relay. I replaced the relay and the water heater worked for about a day and a half. The DSI fault light came on. I turned the switch off and it reset. However about 4 hours later, the DSI fault light came on again. When the light comes on, this not only shuts down the gas side but the electrical as well. When the light is off, both sides work normally. My next step is the switch. I believe it has failed intermittently. My question is have I overlooked something or do you think the switch could be at fault? Could my new relay be bad?

I spoke with my contact at Dometic (who took on the Atwood water heaters) and they said that the DSI fault light on the switch for your Atwood RV Water Heater # AT94022 (GC10A-4E) will only come on for two reasons.

The first reason is that the water heater has attempted to ignite and failed, while the second reason is that the ECO has become an open circuit. They said to check for continuity across ECO when your light comes on to see if that is the problem.

Let me know if you are still having problems and I can help you troubleshoot further.
