The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118778 is the best choice to add a wiring harness to your 2019 Honda Ridgeline because it is a simple installation that will only require you to make a plug-in connection at the rear of your vehicle and install provided fuses. Additionally, the harness manufacturer, Tekonsha, has a very strong reputation for creating high-quality, reliable wiring products.

I have added a link to a video review of this harness for you to take a look at, as well as a link to the installation instructions.

I'm confused.... You say " simple installation that will only require you to make a plug-in connection at the rear of your vehicle and install provided fuses", but the video and other written installation instructions (from you) say the converter box must be connected at the rear of the cab and 4 pin harness connected at the rear/under the bumper - just like the Curt wiring harness that I purchased but have never managed to get the trailer running lights to work. Yes, I've checked all fuses and everything else etrailer has suggested. There is also something said about a Honda relay that must be installed. Yes/No? I was considering purchasing the Tekonsha harness to see if it makes a difference and the trailer running lights work and also because you recommend it as the best for my Honda Ridgeline. Comments? Thanks.

You are correct that the converter box for the Tekonsha # 118778 does also need to be plugged in. I'm not sure why the running lights circuit isn't working on your Ridgeline, as I believe the Curt harness actually includes the additional relay that's sometimes needed. Have you made sure that the issue isn't actually on the trailer side (tested the Ridgline's 4-Way to see if you're getting power at the running lights circuit pin)?

I have tested the 4 way and there is no power getting to the trailer running lights - no power coming out of the converter box. The only thing I have not done is check to see if power is getting to the connector/converter box behind the back seat because it is so tight and difficult to get a circuit tester to that location. Is there another place I can check that is easier to get to?

Got it. That would definitely be my next suggest - testing wiring go TO the converter box. I'm not sure of an easier location to test this though.
