Roof Rack Track System for a 2014 Ford F-150 with Tonneau Cover

Question:

Hello, i am looking for a rack to install on the bedrails of my pickup so that the rails will go over the top of the tonneau cover. I am wondering what the maximum inside width can be on Item # Y02-500B with the 65 inch rails so i can measure the width of the bed rails to see if it will work to install it that way. I am also wondering if you can tell me the clearance height needed from the bottom of the rails to the bottom of the track so i can measure to see there will be enough clearance between the cross rails and the tonneau cover. I have a 2014 F150 Crew cab with the 5.5 foot bed. Thank you!

I do have what you need to add a roof rack track system to your bed rails above the tonneau cover but the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System part # Y02-500B will not work for you because the crossbars are not long enough to span the width of your truck bed and the tracks are not made for a metal bedside. Generally speaking, the maximum width between the tracks will be about 3" shorter than the overall length of the crossbar. The distance from the bottom of the track to the bottom of the crossbar is 3-1/2".

In order to attach a roof rack track system to your truck bed above a tonneau cover you will need to use the following as we don't have an all inclusive kit:

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - part # RRVA180B-2
Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - part # RRRLT600
Rhino-Rack RT-Style Roof Rack Tracks - part # RRRTV168

Please note that in order to install this system properly it is recommended you trim the bed caps so that the tracks sit flush on the bed rails.
