I recommend either of the Tekonsha wiring harnesses that fit your 2018 GMC Acadia. Tekonsha's wiring has been more reliable than any other brand that we carry.

They're both easy to install. You locate connectors behind the rear bumper of the Acadia. The connectors are tucked up there pretty good but if you watch the video I attached you'll see where they are. Skip ahead to about the 1:00 mark to find the installer showing them. If you're going to install a 4-way trailer connector, part # 118720, then you only need to make one connection. If you're installing the 7-way, part # 118276, then you need to make two.
