Question:
2011 Toyota Sienna base model without siderails I would like to haul a kayak on my van, but it has no side rails. Will the Darby turbo rack universal work with a mini van sliding door. Or do you know of any other options. Having trouble finding anything for my senario. Thanks

For your 2011 Toyota Sienna without siderails, the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack - Vacuum Cup Mount - 48" Long # 298-SX6000B is a great option. It uses vacuum mounts that each have a 210 lbs pull strength rating. Then you can use the SUP and Surfboard Pads for SeaSucker Monkey Bars - 19-1/2" Long - Qty 2 # 298-SA1022 along with the Cam Buckle Tie-Down Straps for SeaSucker Monkey Bars - 1" Wide x 10' Long - Qty 2 # 298-SA0010. This is a very strong system able to handle highway speeds without issue.
The Darby Turbo-Rack Universal Single-Bar Roof Rack # DTA968 you asked from is not as strong or durable, but can carry a single kayak. I recommend using the same padding and straps listed above to assist. I also recommend the Yakima Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes w/ Ratchets and Strap Loops - 1/4" x 12' - 150 lbs - Qty 2 # Y04031 to further secure the kayak when using this system.
A final option is the Malone HandiRack Universal Fit Roof Rack - Inflatable - 180 lbs # MPG452 which will also help transport your kayak. This system uses air to support the weight, but if the system were to lose air in a worst case scenario you'd be without a roof rack to get home with your kayak.
