Difference Between USB1 and USB2 Connection Standards

Whats the difference between a USB1 and a USB2 Player? My car is a 2017 Buick Lacrosse says both fit it.

The main difference between USB 1 and USB 2 is data speed. USB 1 was released in 1996 and had a data rate of 12 megabits/second. USB 2 was released in 2000 and had a much higher data rate of 480 megabits/second.
