Troubleshooting Patrick Distribution Tub and Shower Diverter

Question:

Hello everyone I have this faucet and purchased a vacuum breaker for it and can’t get it to screw in? And when it does it goes in sideways so it leaks. What am I doing wrong? I believe it is called the vacuum breaker. Whatever the piece is screwed underneath that attaches to a shower hose. Maybe I have the wrong one? Idk please help.

The Patrick Distribution RV Tub and Shower Diverter - Dual Handle - White # 277-000006 does not require a separate vacuum breaker as it is already integrated. You can simply attach the shower hose like # 277-000008 to the bottom of the unit. If the breaker has gone bad, you will need a new faucet. I've attached a photo of the unit to show the integration and why it is not a separate replicable part.

If the breaker is functional an yet the shower hose does not attach correctly it is very possible the threads have been damaged and the faucet would need replaced.
