I have a 2007, Mazda 5. I had the hitch installed at a well known place and they have given me the run around a little bit regarding the wiring. They said they couldnt do it after telling me that they could. Would the part #118520 work and is it difficult to install?

I am not sure why they told you they could not install trailer wiring on your 2007 Mazda 5. We list the CURT wiring harness # 56016 as the correct kit for your vehicle or Tow Ready Harness # 118520 that you have referenced. Installation is not difficult for either harness.
The main connection points will be located behind each tail light and there is a power wire that will need to be connected to the vehicle battery to provide power to the trailer lights. It also protects the vehicle electrical system.
I am confident you can install this wiring harness at home if you have some experience with automotive projects and/or electrical wiring.
