We have 2 different 5th wheel tailgates that I recommend for your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500. The best one for your application really just comes down to what style you like better.

The Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate # VGD-02-100 is made of heavy-duty steel and has a powder coat finish that can be painted to match the color of your truck. This has a weight capacity of 100 lbs but it is see-through.

The other design we have is the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate # VGD-02-4000 which has a glass-filled, black composite plastic frame. This doesn't have a weight rating due to the plastic design but it isn't flimsy. The advantages of this option are that it includes a lock, and that you can paint and add the parts # VI-4000 and # 4000-V to make it harder for nosey people to see what is in the back of your pickup.

So if you are looking for a heavy-duty option I recommend the 100 series but if style is more what you have in mind the 4000 series is the way to go.
