I have a Leer camper shell on my 2019 Silverado 2500. The truck is a long bed. I want to add a roof rack but not on the truck's cab. I have one from my last truck for that. I want the kind that installs on the Leer cap. I know I have to drill and that's fine. I have no intention of removing this rack from the cap.

Thule offers an excellent USA-made system in their TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shells, part # TH29200XT, which is shown in the linked photo. This rack features lightweight aerodynamic aluminum crossbars and mounting brackets that swivel for an easy installation. Mark your cap for the mounting holes, drill a little and you're ready to bolt this rack on using the included hardware. The second photo shows you all of the included components.
The CapRac includes 4 load stops that slide into slots in the crossbars and you can add a second set using part # 753-3761. The load stops both hold your cargo in place on the rack and they provide convenient tie-down points.
