What is Weight Capacity of Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit # 49150
Updated 11/20/2018 | Published 11/19/2018 >
Question:
I am curious how Item # 49150 has a rating of 16,000 lbs With 5/16inch grade 70 chain? When it has a working load limit of 5700 lbs per chain = 11,400 lbs. I would think 7/168750 lbs would have a high enough WLL for 16,000 lbs.

We don't rate the Fulton chains we offer like the part # FCHA0050324 that you mentioned. Fulton is who tested and rated the chains for 18,800 lbs. They are normally very conservative with how they rate their chains and towing products and we've yet to have any issues with that so I'd feel very confident in the 18.8k capacity.
