How to Resonated Exhaust Tips Affect Sound of Exhaust

Question:
Hi , I have a 99 mustang gt, flowmaster catbacm exhaust very aggressive and loud . The tips need changing and the only ones I liked is a resonated model . Will a resonated tip reduce the aggressiveness / roar at all? If so about how much?

Resonator exhaust tips will slightly mellow the tone of the exhaust but you'd most likely not notice much of a difference. Since the resonators are straight through they can't really quiet anything down.
