How to Connect Running and Brake Light Wires for Trailer Wiring on a 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan

Question:
the brake lamp and running lamp are the same bulb. the vw tiguan raises voltage for brake lamp function and lowers voltage for running lamp function. there is no dedicated brake lamp wire. will this kit work? and how do you wire it?

Yes, you should still be able to use the Tekonsha Wiring Harness, # 119250KIT, with your 2009 VW Tiguan. I have included a link to the installation details for you. you will wire your Tiguan using the 3-wire directions.
