Can a Tekonsha P2 Trailer Brake Controller Plug In in Place of a Prodigy on a 2008 Chevy Suburban

Question:
I want to replace my Prodigy Brake Controller with one of the P2 models on my 2008 Suburban w/tow package so I can tow my boat trailer which has an Ausco Trailr Brakr electric/hydraulic brake setup. Is it as simple as just plugging the P2 in place of the Prodigy?

Since the Tekonsha Prodigy and the P2, # 90885, use the same wiring harness to connect to the vehicle, it really is as simple as plugging in the new control. The wires will still be connected to the tow package wiring beneath the dash so as long as the connections there remain intact it is an easy swap. Of course, you will need to go through the set up process as outlined in the installation instructions which I have linked for you.
