Why Dont Trailer Coupler Replacements Come with Safety Chain Loops

What is the recommended way to attach safety chains to this coupler? I dont see a place designed for them to attach.

Most couplers actually don't come with safety chain loops on them. Reason being that if for some reason the coupler came attached from the trailer you'd want the chains on the trailer frame so that they'd still be effective.
Welding a couple of the part # MB38 loops on your trailer would work well.
