If your 2015 Jeep Cherokee is equipped with the factory tow package then the Plug-In Adapter Harness # 3014-P referenced in your question is confirmed to fit. We do not yet have an installation video for this harness on the Jeep Cherokee but the process should be similar to, if not exactly the same as, the one found on the Grand Cherokee that you mentioned. The factory port will be located behind a panel to the left of the steering column. It is likely tucked up and hidden a bit under the dash so you will just need to pull it free.
