Recommended RoadActive Suspension Kit for 2012 Ram 3500 Towing Heavy 5th Wheel

Question:

Hello: I have a 2012 Ram 3500 crew cab, long bed, 4x4 SRW truck that I use to tow a 2000 Montana 3280rl 5th wheel. The 5th wheel has a GVWR of 10,100lbs with a rated hitch weight of 2160lbs. Ive upgraded the batteries of the 5th wheel with 4 deep cycle batteries and most of the additional weight propane, clothing, bicycles is forward of the axles. I also carry 4 jerry jugs of assorted fluids, a generator, an outboard motor and other assorted stuff in the bed of the truck and I use a heavy BandW Companion hitch. I havent weighed the loaded rear axle of the truck but Im wondering, based on what Ive told you, should I order the RAS3610 or the RAS3613-HD. I have the stock 3inch leaf springs on the truck. Thank You!

For your 2012 Ram 3500 both of the RoadActive Suspension kits # RAS3610 and # RAS3610-HD are a confirmed fit with the difference being the amount of suspension support either can provide. The # RAS3610 provides 2,000 lbs and the # RAS3610-HD provides 3,000 lbs.

Based on how much weight you'll be towing the the HD version is the best solution for you.
