Does Electrical Ground Through the Gen-Y # 325-GH-7061

Question:

I experienced a growing problem with a new bumper gen y hitch, no lights or brakes, don’t many ground through hitching, ? Thanks, Thinking bout a gen y gooseneck hitch

Although the coupler, like the Gen-Y # 325-GH-7061, does provide some ground your main ground needs to be through your 7-Way connector, like part # H20046.

The ground pin is the 5 o'clock position (see attached picture) so if you are having ground issues you need to check your connectors for corrosion as well as any other ground points like where your lights ground to the frame of your trailer.
