Question:
Friend wants to borrow my trailer installed with a Tekonsha wireless brake however .... he just had a seven pin and a brake controller already installed on his vehicle. Can this still be connected and used with his internal brake set up?

Yes, you can use the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # TK94FR on a vehicle that has an in-cab brake controller installed but you will need to remove the blue brake output wire from behind the 7-way or unplug the brake controller before attaching the trailer. The 12 volt pin will also need to be active on your friends 7-way in order for this to work. If it is not then you will need part # 10-1-1 (per foot) and part # 9510.

I just recently purchased a 22’ travel trailer with the Tekonsha prodigy R.F already Installed, now I’m trying to pull the trailer with my 2012 tundra that already has a curt discovery break controller installed, How do I go about using what is already on my tundra? I’ve tried paring the Tekonsha prodigy but it won’t connect. I’m assuming that because my truck already has one in it. I’m real close to removing the Tekonsha and installing something that will work with my hardwired unite. Any help would be greatly appreciated/
