If you are able to unlock the box but not open it then I doubt using the Thule Change Key # 853-1251 to swap out your lock core will help, but it is worth a shot.
The replacement lock core # THLOCKN022 fits with the replacement key # THKEYN022 so you can use those if you would like.
You may want to try using some WD-40 or PB Blaster to help loosen up any gunk that may be holding the lid down on the box.
