Measuring a Trailer Hitch Receiver to Determine Which Size It Is

when ordering, do u measure the inside or outside of the hitch for the correct size? thank you

When choosing accessorizes for your trailer hitch, like the Minnesota Vikings Hitch Cover, # HHCC2010, you measure the width of the inside of the receiver opening. The cover you have referenced will fit into a 2 inch receiver.
The only Minnesota Vikings cover we have that will fit a 1-1/4 inch receiver is # FTH165SL. It is actually adjustable and will fit both a 1-1/4 and a 2 inch receiver. I have included a link to an FAQ on trailer hitch receiver sizes for you.
