Question:
HI, I only want the hitch to attach a bike rack not to pull a trailer. What hitch do you recommend?

For your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75673. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and it will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening that will work perfectly with a hitch-mounted bike rack. The reason I recommend going with a Class III hitch instead of a lower rated Class II unit is because of the larger 2 inch receiver size that a Class III hitch offers. Even though you likely won't be utilizing the higher weight capacity that the Class III hitch features since you only plan on using it for a bike rack, a 2 inch receiver opens the door up for so many more options when it comes to bike racks as opposed to the smaller 1-1/4 inch receiver that is on a Class II.
I have attached an installation video on your 2018 Outback Wagon that you can use for reference.
I have also included a link that will take you to our available selection of hitch-mounted bike racks that you can look through if you don't already have one. I really like the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Rack # S64683. This is a platform-style carrier that features adjustable padded hooks that will hold your bikes by their top tubes. Its sliding wheel cradles will accommodate most bike lengths and the spring-loaded levers let you tilt the rack back for easy rear cargo access. A bike and hitch lock are also included.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this bike rack that you can also check out.
