Thule Aeroblade Edge Roof Rack Recommendation for 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan with Raised Rails

Question:
I am about to buy an aerobar crossroads roof rack and I already have channel style, TH599XTR bike racks that my bikes will sit in. Your web page for the crossbar product states specifically that an adaptor is needed to use this specific bike rack with these cross bars. It is not at all clear to me, however, which adaptor is needed. And why parenthetically I cannot just use the channel system rather than a bulky adaptor setupthey are both Thule products. Thanks!

For your 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan with factory rails that run front to back the Thule roof rack part # TH7501-TH7502 that you are planning on buying is the correct fit and since your TH599XTR is already setup to install in crossbar channels you'd be set without needing any additional adapters.
All you need is the # TH7501-TH7502.
