When we hear about the situation you described where the Sidewinder doesn't straighten totally out as it's being towed behind the truck and there is noise around corners the issue is that the wedge isn't the correct one for the hitch being used or it's not properly installed.

What fifth wheel hitch does your customer have? Do you know which wedge they are using? Ideally you use a custom wedge like the # SWW-06 which is designed for the jaws of a B and W hitch.

The wedge is what locks the fifth wheel hitch tight to the Sidewinder. It's designed to match the shape of the jaws of the hitch. Check out the picture I attached for more info.
