I would recommend our best seller which is the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Proportional Brake Controller, part # 90885. It can be mounted in a 360 degree vertical range and will level itself automatically. It is a proportional brake controller which means that the brakes are applied to the trailer at the same time and same strength as the brakes on your vehicle. I am including a link to the instructions on the Prodigy P2 brake controller.

If you have the factory 7-Way connector on your truck all you will need is the Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Ford, part # 3035-P. This will plug into the back of the Tekonsha brake controller and the other end will plug into the factory brake controller port located under the dash near the center console. I am including a link to the instructions on the adapter.

If you have a factory 4-Way connector on your truck, you will need the Ford adapter #3035-P mentioned above and you will need the Tow Ready Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness, part # 118247. This will replace the 4-Way at the back of your truck with a 7-Way connector that is needed when using a brake controller. I am including a link to the instructions for the Tow Ready wiring harness.
