Troubleshooting iRV Sound System that Wont Turn Off

Question:

We have an RV with an iRV technologies sound system. We have it turned on to watch a movie but now the remote doesn’t work and the system under the Tv doesn’t respond. How do we turn it off ...

If your iRV system isn't responding to the remote or if you press the power button on the actual unit, like part # 292-101079, then you want to try resetting the system.

Start off by doing a soft reset which involves use a pen or paperclip to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work then hold the reset button for 35 to 40 seconds for a hard reset. The soft reset will save your functions, like time and region settings, but the hard reset will reset everything.

My volume wont work. The dial wont turn up the volume, but the remote does, but with no sound. When changing the settings the machine does its beep noise indicating that you are changing features on the stereo. Other than that, no music, no noise, and not even any static

The only thing I can think to do at this point is to reset the unit as described above to see if that helps. If it doesn't then there's likely an internal issue with the stereo and it will need to be replaced.

@ChrisR Can’t find paper clip reset place. Two side covers of screws came off. Can’t reset from STANDBY! Discon power, battery, everything.

@Patricia The tiny hole used for resetting the iRV RV Stereo # 292-101079 is directly below the "RESET" lettering on the face of the stereo. This will be near the bottom right of the stereo.

My radio is not working in my jayco 2020 it has the UBS just flashing. Can’t turn it off or anything

If none of the buttons are working then I'd try physically disconnecting your radio from power. Keep it disconnected for a good couple minutes and see if that resets it.
