Hello. I just purchased and installed a Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch 75784 for my 2013 Acura RDX. In the product description on your website it says It may be necessary to see a local Acura dealer for a relay. The relay is needed to activate the tow package wiring circuit. - Could you let me know a little bit more what this means? - Is a a relay in addition to the wiring harness I would need to get? - Is the relay just a part that I can only get from them, or are they the only ones that can install it plus the wiring harness, etc? Thanks!

For your 2013 Acura RDX, the wire harness for a trailer connection needed is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118569. There is a fuse required that comes with this kit that needs to be installed in the fuse box under your hood. There will be a fuse position labed (20A ) Trailer.

If this does not activate your trailer wiring, then there is a relay that will need to be obtained from your Acura dealer. Most vehicles already have the needed relay and just need the fuse and harness.
