The CURT Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11205, comes with the CURT Mfg. recommended ball mount, # C45521, which uses a hitch ball with a 3/4 inch diameter shank.

For a trailer with a 1-7/8 inch coupler, you can use the CURT hitch Ball, # C40001, and for a trailer coupler that uses a 2 inch ball you can use the CURT Hitch Ball, # C40018.
