I have attached the diagram that you will need to install the Hopkins Agility Trailer Brake Controller part # HM47295 on your 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. The wires that you will need to connect to the controller will be located in a group with blunt cut ends somewhere under the driver's dash panel near the emergency brake lever (see photo).
To summarize, the red wire on the vehicle connects to the black wire on the controller. The dark blue wire on the vehicle connects to the blue wire on the controller. The light blue/orange wire on the vehicle connects to the red wire on the controller and the white wire on the vehicle connects to the white wire on the controller. The above brake controller comes with all of the wiring connectors and mounting screws you need for installation.
