Roof Rack For 2016 Subaru Legacy

Question:

I have a factory roof rack from previous car Madza 5 that needs the roof track. I would like to put it on my 2016 Subaru Legacy that doesnt have the track. Is there anything else other than drilling holes in the roof that will hold the rack to the roof . the feet go into the rack and rubber would just hit the roof. I thought it would be cheaper using old rack that selling that one and buying new rack. I have a Thule rooftop carrier I want to use. The more I look at my care the more I realize no adaptor will work. My car is not made for a roof rack. If anything I would have to buy one to fit car and not adapt the one I have. Yes, you are correct! The best option is to install a new compete roof rack.
