I am trying to install a harness on a 2017 Mazda CX5. as much as I tried, I cannot access the taillight wiring harness connector, I cannot remove the side panels. the instructions should be more detailed. rgds

We have not yet had the chance to install a trailer wiring harness on a 2017 Mazda CX-5 so I would not have any additional advice for you outside of what is laid out in the instruction manual. However, I see you purchased the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118746 which means you would have received the instructions included with this kit which I agree are rather vague.
However, the process to install the trailer wiring harness will be the same as the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56377. The installation instructions for this harness are more detailed and have step by step pictures so I recommend taking a look at them to see if this helps. I have attached these instructions for you but if you are still having trouble, I recommend taking the vehicle to a local auto mechanic to have the trailer wiring harness installed professionally.
