Does Firestone Air Compressor Automatically Turn On and Off as Air is Needed

Question:
hello i am wondering if the Extreme Air Control System has a switch to shut off the compressor or if it is always on? as air bleeds out of the tank over time will the pump randomly turn on as the tank s below its minimum PSI?

The air compressor in Air Command I Xtreme Duty Compressor Kit # F2543 will only run when the vehicle ignition is on. So if the vehicle is running and the tank needs air it will kick on automatically. There isn't a switch to turn it on and off manually. I have included a link to the installation details for you.
