Question:
i have installed the edge comp module in my truck do i need a gauge to check exaust gas temp. when setting is on level 3 or higher the engine heats up.

I contacted our representative at Edge and he informed me that it would be a good idea to have an EGT Gauge installed when using higher settings on the Edge Comp.
He also recommended installing a fuel pressure gauge and lifter or aftermarket fuel pump. You will want to make sure the motor is getting enough fuel when using the higher setting.
The item you referenced, Edge Comp, part # EP30301 is for the 2001-2002 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins. For your 1999 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins, you should have the Edge Comp, part # EP30300.
