Will the Reese SC Weight Distribution System with Sway Control Provide Adequate Turning Ability
Published 08/29/2011 >
Question:
I am looking for a w/d sway control system that does not bind when making tight corners or backing up. My current friction control system limits my turning radius. Will the Reese provide greater turning radius and reduce or limit the binding that occurs on conventional friction sway control systems?

All weight distribution systems will limit your turning radius somewhat when backing in tight situations. That being said, the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System with Sway Control, # RP66560, will not limit your turning radius when traveling forward and making tight turns, and will allow you to make pretty tight turns when backing.
It is always a good idea to remove the spring bars before backing into situations where very tight turns may be required, to prevent damage to the weight distribution system.
