Question:

Is it OK if I were to cut off the 4 pin flat connector and add a round 4 pin connector? I already have a coiled cord that has a 7 pin connector for my Motor home and a 4 pin round for the Jeep. It is a 2018 JL Sahara.

The Tekonsha T-One # 118786 that you referenced is for activating the light functions on a trailer when towing with your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited. It sounds like you are needing some wiring to flat tow your Jeep and for that you need some different parts.

If you use the Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152 along with the Hopkins Mounting Bracket # HM48605 and the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Socket # PK11410 then you will essentially have the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 without the coiled wire. This is what I recommend using for your Jeep. I have attached an installation video of the Flexo-Coil kit on a 2017 Wrangler Unlimited for you to reference.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Please let me know if you are missing any of these parts and I can make some recommendations for you.
