I have a 2008 subaru outback. I want to install part # 76209 . Soon after, I will sell Outback and buy a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, Can I switch the # 76209 to the Crosstrek?

The trailer hitches for the 2008 Subaru Outback will not fit the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. The vehicles were built on different platforms so they require different hitch designs.
For the 2018 Crosstrek the most popular hitch is # C13382.
For the 2008 Outback the most popular hitch is # 75560.
