We actually had a dog chew the wires up on our Hopkins plug my husband is pretty much an expert on a lot of things except for the fact that we cannot figure out where the purple wire goes is there a possibility you can send us some info on how to rewire that or where the purple wire goes please.

If you are asking about the Hopkins Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185, the purple wire is an auxiliary wire for 12V power, reverse lights or reverse lockout. You can use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 if you are unsure which wire you need to connect to the purple wire for the aforementioned functions.
