Best Trailer Hitch for 2007 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I have a 2007 Toyota Sienna le van and need to know what size hitch I will need to tow a pop up camper. The units we are looking at seem to be between 1200 to 2000 pounds

Helpful Expert Reply:
To tow a trailer with your 2007 Toyota Sienna, the best hitch is going to be the Class III Draw-Tite # 75237 over the Class III option from Curt because the Draw-Tite is rated for a higher capacity and is also the more economical choice. This hitch has a 2" receiver and 4,500 lb towing capacity, which is 1,000 lbs more than the capacity of your Sienna though please be sure to adhere to the 3,500 lb capacity of your vehicle.
You are also gonig to need to add a 4-way connector # 118304 to your Sienna in order to power your camper's lights. I also recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our page with each of our ball mounts as well as a video review of the ball mount kit.
