Question:

Thank you for the response. I was wondering how the Curt version compares: C13366 I noticed its instructions don’t say anything about having to enlarge any holes, so the install seems simpler. Am I missing something else?

For a 2 inch hitch for your 2018 Volkswagen Atlas the Draw Tite hitch part # 76176 is a confirmed fit and would be a great choice for your 2 inch hitch bike rack. This fits right up under the rear bumper too so ground clearance won't be too affected. The picture I attached shows this hitch installed.

Access hole to feed the install hardware into the frame of your vehicle will need to be enlarged though. That's the most in-depth portion of the hitch install.

The install is pretty basic aside from that. I attached an install video for the hitch for you to check out below as well.

The Curt hitch # C13366 does have the same tech tip where the access holes will need to be enlarged. Install would be virtually identical to the Draw Tite. Step 1 of the Curt says "NOTE: Removal of underbody coating from access hole may be required." That's a delicate way of saying you'll need to file the opening larger a bit.
