Question:
I need a set of boat guides for my pontoon boat. How far out can the upright be placed from the closest part of the bracket on the Boat Guide. Also how far does the metal support go up into the PVC upright.

I pulled the Fulton Boat Guide, # FGB1500100, from the warehouse and produced a short video showing the measurements you will need, see link.
From the closest part of the bowed upright to the end of the PVC tube the measurement is 15 inches. From the same spot to the inside of the closest U-Bolt the measurement is 13 inches, when mounted on a 2 inch square tube frame. Your frame size will dictate this measurement.
The upright is constructed of solid PVC that I measured at just over 1/4 inch thick. There is not a metal support inside the upright.
