Question:
2016 KIA Sportage SX Turbo ... confused by web site as to which hitch to buy. Will the exhaust hangers have to be modified all of them? Choice seems to be either CURT or DRAWTITE. Weight rating is not an issue. Thanks for your help.

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75717 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13120 are both confirmed fits for your 2016 Kia Sportage SX and will work well for you. They have a Class III rating with a 2" receiver tube opening.
The process of modifying the vehicle for either hitch is a possibility but not always needed. The only way to tell for sure if you will need to do this would be to install the hitch, then reattach the rubber isolators to see how they fit. With that being said, if you were going to have to modify the exhaust hangers all you would need to do is take a pry bar and bend then downward slightly. This is not really a big task nor does it require any special tools.
If you can tell me what you will be using the hitch for then I would be happy to provide additional recommendations for you as well. I have attached a sample install video.
