Trailer Wiring 4-Way Recommendation for 2014 Jeep Patriot

Question:
I have previously purchased a wiring harness for a 2011 Chevy Equinox Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - Code: 56094. There was a more elaborate product available for the Equinox but all I required for the trailer, it only has two lights, was the simple tie in system without being tied into the electrical system. I am now looking for the same type of product for a 2014 Jeep Patriot but I do not see the same type of product on the web site. I do find the following T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - Code: 118552. Is there a reason related to the Jeep product that there is not just a wiring harness only package available for the Jeep product? Thank You!

To install a 4-way on your 2014 Jeep Patriot requires the Tekonsha trailer wiring harness part # 118552 that you mentioned. Since there isn't a plug-in adapter for a simple wiring harness install you'd have to go with this option which installs inline with the taillights of your vehicle to provide the 4-way.
